Nick Gillard Pulls Some Stunts on The ThrowDown

Stunt Cooridinator, Nick Gillard, along with Samuel L. Jackson and Ewan McGregor

The world has been abuzz with Star Wars news in the recent days.  From Lucasfilm being bought by Disney to the announcement that Episode 7 would be released by 2015, fans and haters of the series have had plenty to talk about. Not being ones to pass up a good opportunity, we at The ThrowDown decided it was the perfect time to debut our interview with the stunt coordinator for the Star Wars prequels, Nick Gillard.

We had a chance to catch up and spend a couple of moments with Mr. Gillard during this year’s Comic Con in Chicago. As a stunt coordinator, Mr. Gillard’s credits span television and movies including Sleepy Hollow, Wanted, and the television show MI-5.  However, some of his best work is highlighted in Star Wars, Episode I. Where Episode I lacked in plot, acting, and dialogue, the light saber duels were some of the best and well choreographed of the six, soon to be nine, movie series.

So without further ado, I present to you, Nick Gillard.
